MODERN FARMHOUSE DESIGN

This design style is not very old and came into the limelight in 2015. Since its beginning, it has been applauded for its trendy and dynamic impact on home buyers. This design is a bit eclectic and has been revived from a traditional farmhouse with greater sensibility in subtleness. Its inspiration is drawn from industrial, classic, and traditional styles known to exist independently and incorporates some striking minimalist and contemporary features of the era.

Traditional farmhouses were famous for outdoor living and the modern farmhouse revives this feature. The culture of inside yet outside experience is at the very foundation of this style. The color palette inspiration is drawn from the Scandinavian style with white walls and black windows for a lively and delicate exterior. Barn style exterior lights in a metal finish give a subtle rustic accent to complete the look.

The core of this style lies in an open, spacious floor plan with clean and crisp lines, warm woods, and neutral accents with a welcoming feel. Multi-colored paint or wallpaper is not typical, instead, white walls are designed to complement the wood tones in flooring and beams. Kitchens are the heart of our homes; traditional farmhouse kitchens were larger due to cooking for larger groups of farmers and armies. Wood elements with open shelves are key factors in this style.

The eclectic approach of multiple design styles revives the authentic traditional farmhouse with a modern approach to the space. This style is more of a lifestyle than a design. It is no surprise that the Modern Farmhouse creates a cozy environment and timeless feel.
